E-safety

At Allington Primary School we believe that educating our children about being safe on-line is very important.  As part of our ICT curriculum all children from Foundation Stage to Year Six follow our E-safety Scheme of Work focusing on identifying some of the risks about being on-line and how to keep themselves safe.
   
In school we have clear rules about using the internet and these are displayed in every classroom:
  
  The poster on the right is displayed in our Infant classrooms and the ICT suite.  The rules are regularly discussed with the children by their class teachers.  If you would like your own copy for home then you can print one using the following link:

Websites for children
Children in Key Stage One will become familiar with the websites Lee and Kim's Adventure and Hector's World, which are both created by CEOP.  To access these sites follow the below link:

 Safer Internet Day 2013

On the 5th February 2013 pupils at Allington Primary School took part in Safer Internet Day!  All the pupils had special ICT/PSHE lessons and activities based on this years theme:  Connect with Respect.  KS1 and Foundation children also had an e-safety themed assembly and KS2 children were visited by Maidstone School Support Officer PC Richardson who explained more about hidden dangers on the internet and the importance of being a responsible internet user.  See our School Events page for further information and photographs.
