Enrichments and Clubs

Learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom.

At Allington Primary School, we believe that children should have the opportunity to experience, explore and contribute to the world around them. We are incredibly proud of the rich and varied experiences we offer our children, ensuring that their time at primary school is filled with opportunities to make memories, discover new interests and develop a sense of belonging.

Our enrichment programme takes children beyond the classroom and into the wider community. Our enrichments can be for a whole class or year group like our residential trips or for small groups like our School Council visiting the Houses of Parliament.  

But enrichment is not just about where we go — it is also about who we connect with and what we can give back.

Our children regularly engage with our local community. They visit care homes and spend time with older residents, visit mother and toddler groups, take part in litter picking and community projects, and look for ways to make a positive difference to the people and places around them.

We want our children to understand that they are an important part of their community. Through these experiences, they learn to talk to and listen to people of different ages and backgrounds, develop confidence and independence, show kindness and responsibility, and recognise that they have something valuable to contribute.

From residential adventures to simple acts of kindness in our local community, we want every child to leave Allington with memories, experiences, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

We believe in giving children a childhood rich in experiences — and helping them discover their place in the world.
