In deciding where you would like your child to go to school, it is really important to find out as much as you can about the schools themselves- this can be through their websites, through the experiences of other parents and their children, or indeed through visiting the school. We hold open mornings in November for parents of children due to start in Reception the following September. You simply need to sign up to one of the sessions and these will be advertised nearer the time.
We are also very happy for parents to make specific appointments to visit the school during the academic year and we would ask you to arrange this with the office.
The local authority (LA) coordinates all admissions for children starting school for the first time and the link below will direct you to the Kent County Council website where you will find all the information that you require. If you have a child in any other year group, and would like to enquire about places, then please do so directly through the school office.

Children start school in the September following their 4th birthday. The admissions round opens in November for the following September and applications are made online at www.kent.gov.uk/ola. If you have any difficulty with the process, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help with the application process. You should choose up to 3 schools in order of preference, and the Local Education Authority will advise you in the middle of April which school you have been allocated.

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2021 you can appeal between 19th April -17 May 2021 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 16 July 2021. For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals. For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
In Year Admissions
We are currently holding a waiting list for all year groups. The waiting list is structured using our admission criteria.
If you would like to join the waiting list please complete an IYCAF (in year casual admission form) and send it to the school office. Once we have have responded to your IYCAF, if you would like to appeal for an in year place, please write to the school detailing reasons for your appeal. In-year appeals will be heard 30 days after the appeal is lodged.
