REMOTE EDUCATION AT ALLINGTON
Since November 2020, we have been using Google Classroom as our platform for communicating with children and setting learning opportunities in the event of Covid-related absence from school. If your child is absent from school due to the need to isolate/ quarantine, they will be able to access learning on their class Google page (please see the Google Classroom tab for information about accessing the page).
Learning provided, where possible is aligned with the objectives being covered in class. These resources are only to be used by children who are well enough to attend school, but cannot because they or their family are self-isolating. As well as a daily or weekly timetable with links and activities, the knowledge organisers for both Geography and Science have been uploaded for Y1 - Y6. Knowledge organisers will help the children remember prior learning in the topic and give the context of the weekly lesson within the whole topic. Spellings have also been uploaded.
On return to school, please ensure your child brings any completed learning with them. There is no expectation to print any of the lessons. Just open the page and complete the work online or in the exercise book we have provided.
Further information is detailed below in our Remote Education Provision document. Please see below two useful documents from National Online Safety regarding remote education. There is further information regarding online safety in the School Information pages of this website.
