Allington Primary School

Primary School

headteacher's welcome

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Allington Primary School, part of the Orchard Academy Trust. As well as being an exceptionally happy school, we are busy and purposeful and constantly striving to provide the best learning opportunities for our children. At our school we are incredibly proud of our staff, our children and our combined successes which are underpinned by our school's values and beliefs. We are a school to which the whole school community, children, staff, parents and governors are proud to belong.

We strongly believe in the importance of recognising the unique nature of every child, each with their own gifts and talents. We are passionate in our approach to developing the whole child and we want our children to be positive and empathic citizens of the future. It is important to us that they understand the importance of kindness, tolerance and respect -for themselves and each other. Our curriculum offer is designed to provide challenge, to promote thinking and to ensure progression in subject knowledge and language. It has been developed with our community in mind, ensuring that it is broad and relevant. Through high quality teaching and engaging learning opportunities, we support our children to develop as self-motivated learners who strive to achieve their best.

At Allington we provide a solid foundation for the children’s learning journey ensuring that they are well-prepared for each stage of their education. We aim to provide an environment where children are supported to become the very best versions of themselves both within the classroom and beyond. Our children leave Allington as inquisitive, well-rounded and respectful individuals who have been nurtured and encouraged to grow, to develop and most importantly, to believe in their limitless potential.

Choosing a school can sometimes be a difficult decision- please look at the other areas on the website to gain some insight into our school, and please do look at our Twitter feed too to see snapshots of our days. If you have any queries that aren’t answered in these two sources, please contact the school office where our lovely team will be happy to answer your questions.

Best wishes

Mrs Howson
